Some areas in the U.S. are spot on with the national average, but CNA pay greatly varies by state and region. Alaska tops the list with the highest hourly wages at $16.40, and Mississippi is at the bottom with an average CNA pay wage of $9.05 per hour.
Caregivers do not possess the same education and certifications as CNAs which is reflect in their wages. The average caregiver wage is $9.25 per hour. Caregiver wages can be increased through education and training. Two training options include a 10-hour online caregiver training session or through becoming a certified nursing assistant.
